Frequently asked questions
Why invest in modular kitchen
1.1 What is a modular kitchen?
A modular kitchen consists of individual kitchen elements that can be freely combined to create a custom kitchen. Unlike a traditional built-in kitchen, the individual modules are not permanently connected to form a continuous kitchen unit. This allows a modular kitchen to be flexibly adapted to different rooms, floor plans, and living situations.
• Flexible: Individual modules can be combined in various ways
• Expandable: Additional modules can be added later
• Adaptable: The kitchen can be adapted to different rooms and floor plans
• Durable: Individual elements can be modified, added, or replaced without having to replace the entire kitchen
• Customizable: Features and configurations are chosen to suit personal needs
1.2 Who is a modular kitchen suitable for, and for which types of rooms?
The individual kitchen modules can be combined in various ways, supplemented with additional elements as needed, and—depending on the living situation—rearranged. This allows a kitchen to grow along with its residents and their needs.
*Customizable: The kitchen can be adapted to different rooms and floor plans
1.3 Can a modular kitchen be expanded?
Anytime. Because the modules can be freely combined, additional modules can be added at a later date. Individual parts can also be easily swapped out and replaced.
Delivery
2.1 How is A la carte delivered?
Standard delivery: Via a shipping carrier, curbside delivery.
In Germany: A two-person delivery service to your home can be booked.

modular vs. A la carte
5.1 What’s the Difference Between Modular and À la Carte?
With our modular kitchen systems, you choose from various basic modules that can be customized. Here’s a quick overview of the differences:
• Modular:
- 2 module widths (108 / 63 cm)
- Customizable spacing (for optimizing niches)
- Secure connection via spacing or by placing modules side by side
- Materials: poplar plywood/MDF,
both coated in white decor ~9016 (high impact, scratch, and abrasion resistance)
• À la carte:
- 1 module width: 74 cm (+magnet)
- Active zone (cup system) for the area between the modules
- Connection via magnet (strong coupling)
- Material: Beech laminated wood
Surface: HPL, white ~9010 (high impact, scratch, and abrasion resistance)
Electrical Devices
6.1 Are there built-in refrigerators for the modular kitchens?
In general, both kitchen systems (modular and à la carte) are designed to use a self-contained, freestanding refrigerator.
For the à la carte system, however, a 50-liter minibar from Dometic can be integrated into the appliance module. This is ideal for office kitchens.
For the modular system, a freestanding refrigerator can be installed in the "interstice device".
