Life changes. Apartments become larger or smaller, rooms take on new functions and personal needs evolve.
STADTNOMADEN therefore develops furniture concepts that are flexible, durable and individually combinable. Instead of rigid furnishing solutions, we create products that can adapt to different living situations.
This philosophy is particularly evident in our modular kitchens. The MODULAR and A la carte II systems allow for individual configurations, different equipment options and flexible use of available space. Modules can be combined, extended and adapted to different floor plans.
What does STADTNOMADEN mean?
A city nomad does not necessarily have to move from one place to another. For us, the term represents an attitude towards life:
staying free, thinking flexibly and avoiding unnecessary limitations.
The modern city nomad wants to shape their surroundings according to their own ideas. They appreciate high-quality and beautiful things while also wanting to remain flexible. Furniture should therefore not become a burden, but instead create new possibilities.
This idea has been at the heart of the STADTNOMADEN brand since its foundation in 2006.

Our modular kitchens, for example, allow different modules, intermediate spaces and equipment options to be combined. This makes it possible to make effective use of niches and different wall widths.

For us, sustainability begins with the question of how furniture can be used over the long term.
Flexible furniture can adapt to changing circumstances instead of having to be replaced whenever life changes. Extendable and adaptable systems create long-term possibilities and can help conserve resources.
We use high-quality materials and durable construction. Depending on the product, these include solid wood, plywood, HPL and other carefully selected materials. Our furniture is predominantly manufactured in Germany.

Our products are developed with high standards for construction, materials and workmanship. The designs by Linda and Oliver Krapf combine clean, distinctive forms with functional solutions.
Our products and systems have received several design awards, including Focus Open Silver. The MODULAR kitchen system was also awarded the BIG SEE Product Design Award 2024.
Modular kitchens by STADTNOMADEN
A particular focus of STADTNOMADEN is modular kitchen design.
The MODULAR kitchen concept combines individual base modules with customisable intermediate spaces. This allows kitchens to be adapted to different room sizes, floor plans and personal requirements.
Whether sink, storage, cooktop, built-in appliances or additional worktop space – the individual elements can be configured according to personal needs. The system can also be extended and modified over time.
With A la carte II, STADTNOMADEN offers another modular kitchen concept. The individual elements can be combined freely, allowing for a personalised kitchen design.
